This project focused on designing a modern institutional website for a university that previously lacked visual unity across its various pages. The goal was to create a cohesive design system while enhancing usability, especially for pages containing extensive information, like detailed course descriptions.

websites
a fresh look and and a simplified flow
I was hired through an agency to redesign the university’s institutional website with a more contemporary look. The stakeholders emphasized the need for a streamlined navigation experience that would simplify access to detailed information.
I had complete creative freedom regarding the visual style, as long as I retained a palette similar to the one already used by the institution.

the problem
The main challenge was unifying the university’s visual identity across different sections and simplifying navigation for users accessing lengthy and detailed information. The previous site had disjointed styles and complex navigation flows that needed refinement.
the process
I began by conducting an inventory of all the content to be displayed, reorganizing the navigation flows according to semantic categories, and simplifying access points. After defining the structure, I developed wireframes for the foundational pages and then created a fresh visual concept that balanced modern aesthetics with clarity and usability.
the solution
The result was a clean, modern, and informative website with intuitive navigation and cohesive design throughout. The new structure made it easier for users to find the information they needed, enhancing both accessibility and user satisfaction.
